Responding to Basic Needs.. Implementing Zakat Al-Fitr Project by Distributing Rice to 750 Vulnerable Families Across 3 Districts in Taizz

Taizz – March 2025:

Al-Hdaya Charity Developmental Foundation, with generous support from the State of Kuwait through Tarahom Charity and Humanitarian Society, launched the Zakat Al-Fitr Project (Rice Distribution for Vulnerable Families) in Taizz Governorate during March 2025, targeting 750 vulnerable and displaced households (4,500 individuals) across Al-Qahirah, Al-Mudhaffar, and Salh districts.

The intervention provided each beneficiary family with a sack of rice to address immediate dietary requirements, secure daily essential needs, and alleviate seasonal living hardships on low-income households. The project also aimed to bring joy to families ahead of Eid Al-Fitr, preserve their dignity, and enhance social solidarity.

Implemented in March 2025, this humanitarian intervention is part of the foundation’s vital Food Security and seasonal response programs, dedicated to meeting essential needs for vulnerable displaced populations and host communities across Yemen.
