Mitigating School Dropout Risks & Protecting Children’s Right to Education: Supporting 100 Vulnerable Students with School Bags and Uniforms in Taiz

TAIZ – 2024:

In conjunction with the start of the new academic year, Al-Hidaya Charitable Development Foundation launched a project to distribute school bags, uniforms, and essential learning supplies in Taiz Governorate, generously funded by the State of Kuwait, targeting 100 vulnerable boys and girls from internally displaced and host community families.

The intervention provided students with fully equipped school backpacks containing complete stationery and learning materials, alongside appropriate school uniforms. This initiative aims directly to alleviate severe financial burdens on vulnerable households, uphold children’s dignity, and encourage enrollment and retention to mitigate the risk of school dropouts amid challenging living conditions.

This project is part of Al-Hidaya Foundation’s strategic education cluster interventions, aimed at strengthening education resilience, fostering safe and inclusive learning environments, and ensuring equal access to quality education to create sustainable human impact in Yemen.
