Taizz & Al-Hudaydah – August 2024:
Al-Hdaya Charity Developmental Foundation, with generous support from the State of Kuwait through Al-Hdaya Charity Association, launched an emergency shelter and food assistance distribution project for flood and rain-affected communities along the West Coast (“Wounds of Yemen”). The intervention targeted 469 families (2,814 individuals) among internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host community households across Al-Makha District (Taizz Governorate) and Hays District (Al-Hudaydah Governorate).
The project interventions included distributing 469 comprehensive shelter kits and 300 food baskets to meet immediate basic survival needs, easing acute economic hardships and financial burdens for affected households while improving living conditions and upholding human dignity.
Conducted in August 2024, this emergency relief intervention is part of the foundation’s humanitarian response programs aimed at addressing sudden natural disasters and supporting the most vulnerable communities in crisis-affected areas.
