Taizz – February 2024:
Al-Hdaya Charity Developmental Foundation, with generous support from the State of Kuwait, inaugurated the drilling and operation of a 100-meter solar-powered artesian well project in Al-Rimah village, Al-Zahari sub-district, Al-Makha District, Taizz Governorate.
The project aims to secure adequate, sustainable supplies of safe drinking water for hundreds of households in the village and surrounding communities. This initiative actively alleviates daily living hardships and the physical toll of transporting water over long distances, while enhancing local public health, livelihood stability, and community resilience.
Implemented in February 2024, this intervention is part of the foundation’s vital Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) programs within its humanitarian response, dedicated to establishing sustainable water infrastructure in vulnerable coastal areas.
