Taizz – October 2024:
Al-Hdaya Charity Developmental Foundation, with generous support from the state of Kuwait, implemented a clean drinking water trucking project targeting 50 key locations and residential points across Taizz City, ensuring safe water access for vulnerable host communities and internally displaced persons (IDPs).
The project aims to provide safe and clean drinking water, easing the daily burdens of fetching water from distant areas. Furthermore, it contributes significantly to mitigating health risks and preventing waterborne diseases associated with unsafe water sources, thereby supporting the overall health and living conditions of thousands of beneficiaries.
Conducted in October 2024, this initiative is part of a broader emergency response encompassing 10 water distribution projects across five Yemeni governorates (Taizz, Aden, Marib, Abyan, and Lahj) to address urgent humanitarian needs in areas severely affected by water scarcity.
