Towards Sustainable Livelihoods.. Launching Economic Empowerment and Livestock Distribution Project for Vulnerable Families in Al-Maafer, Taizz

Taizz – October 2024:

Al-Hdaya Charity Developmental Foundation, with generous support from the State of Kuwait through Al-Hdaya Charity Association, launched the Economic Empowerment and Livelihoods Support Project (Livestock Distribution) in Al-Maafer District, Taizz Governorate, targeting 7 vulnerable and low-income families (51 individuals).

The intervention provided each beneficiary household with 3 productive female goats adhering to sound livestock breeding standards. This initiative aims to invest in rural animal husbandry, generating sustainable income sources, improving living conditions in rural areas, and enhancing financial self-reliance and local economic stability.

Conducted in October 2024, this initiative falls under the foundation’s Early Recovery and Livelihoods (ERL) programs designed to advance the humanitarian response and transition vulnerable families from relief reliance to sustainable production and self-sufficiency.
