With Official Presence.. Launching “Help Me See” Eye Surgeries Project Serving Hundreds of Patients in Taizz

Taizz – July & August 2024:

Al-Hdaya Charity Developmental Foundation, with generous support from the State of Kuwait through Al-Hdaya Charity Association, inaugurated the “Help Me See” Eye Surgeries Project, implemented across three consecutive phases in Taizz Governorate to conduct 445 surgeries for highly vulnerable patients. The inauguration was attended by the Director General of the Public Health and Population Office in Taizz, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sabri, the Deputy Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office, Mr. Fouad Al-Faqih, alongside the foundation’s executive leadership.

The project focuses on removing cataracts, glaucoma, and pterygium to help patients regain healthy vision, improving their quality of life and facilitating community reintegration. It also eases severe economic burdens and healthcare expenses for impoverished families, preventing the progression of permanent visual impairments caused by delayed medical intervention.

Carried out during July and August 2024, this healthcare initiative is part of the foundation’s vital Health and Nutrition interventions designed to support the humanitarian response and provide specialized surgical care to underserved communities.
