Lahj – 2020:
Al-Hdaya Charity Developmental Foundation, with generous support from the State of Kuwait, inaugurated the Construction Project of a Residential Village for IDPs in Lahj Governorate (“Kuwait Al-Wafa Village for IDPs”), addressing the vital need for adequate shelter, basic services, and community resilience for vulnerable displaced populations.
The project delivered 40 fully equipped housing units ensuring family privacy and protection. The integrated village also features a primary school to secure uninterrupted access to basic education for children, a mosque, and a charitable bakery supporting daily food security. These facilities actively reduce negative coping mechanisms, alleviate displacement burdens, and foster local stability.
This intervention represents a strategic shift from temporary emergency relief to durable solutions and resilient community rebuilding, falling under the foundation’s Shelter and Early Recovery programs within its humanitarian response across Yemen.
